Recrafting What Works

ZambosHybrid design doesn't need to start from scratch to be successful. Karen Zambos got her start with reconstructed vintage pieces, much like Imitation of Christ. One just needs to know their audience.

Karen Zambos has become every Hollywood "It" girl's go-to indie designer, and it doesn't hurt that she manages every "It" girl's go-to shop, Tracey Ross.

Ross and friends Nicole Richie and Rachel Zoe Rosenzweig cohosted a presentation of Zambos' spring collection Tuesday night...in lieu of models, Richie, Rosenzweig and other Friends of Zambos' turned out in her richly toned rayon jersey dresses, wholesale priced between $100 and $250.
