PokerStars.com launched a VIP Club.

Land-based casinos were the first to introduce loyalty-based VIP programs to their customers. Most of these rewards programs are oriented predominantly towards gamblers who play slot machines, video poker and table games. Incentive programs for poker players, for the most part, remain limited.

Top rewards for VIPs on PokerStars.com include gift certificates (Neiman-Marcus and Dell are two partner companies), high-demand electronics (iPod nano and plasma-screen televisions are among the options), and Porsche Cayman sports cars.

PokerStars' VIP Club also offers prizes such as special poker matches with Joe Hachem, the reigning World Series of Poker champion and former world poker champions Greg Raymer, Chris Moneymaker and Tom McEvoy.

The VIP Club offers everything from concierge service to box seats for professional sporting events (the NBA's Dallas Mavericks are PokerStars newest pro sports partner).
