Another wonderful presentation from one of my student's at this Summer's intensive session in Ethnographic Research. Lucie Wright is currently taking a sabbatical exploration of a long‐held notion that the way designers think about the world can increase our understanding of one another, find useful solutions to big issues and not just lead to the creation of more products – and her future part in this.

Unconscious Play by Ekin Birol

Ekin Birol is a student in my summer intensive class on Ethnographic Research at Parsons the New School for Design.  Ekin is from Istanbul Turkey where he has started a Master in Industrial Technical Design at Istanbul Technical University.  In this presentation Ekin uncovers an interesting hidden narrative in unconscious play and some potential design implications.  This project was a quick deep dive in 3 days.  An impressive and interesting piece.
